History

The inaugural Trinoc*con was held September 29 - October 1, 2000, at the Durham Marriott & Civic Center. The guest list included such luminaries as: Michael Swanwick, Charles Vess, Skip Williams, James Morrow and David Drake.

Trinoc*coN 2 2001 was held October 5-7 at the Millennium Hotel Durham, and featured yet another stellar guest list, including Vernor Vinge, Dru Blair, and Andrew Probert.

Trinoc*coN 3 2002 returned to the Durham Marriott & Civic Center, October 4-6, and included Lois McMaster Bujold, James Wappel, Dave Arneson, and Fred Chappell.

Trinoc*coN 4 2003 was held at the Durham Marriott & Civic Center, August 1-3, and included Lawrence Watt-Evans, Ursula Vernon and Bruce Baugh.

Trinoc*coN 5 2004 was held at the Durham Marriott & Civic Center.

Trinoc*coN 6 2005 was held at the Durham Marriott & Civic Center, July 15 - 17, and included Charles Keegan, Jade Gordon, Margo Anderson, Chris Pramas, Dave Arneson and Joe R. Lansdale.

Trinoc*coN 7 2006 was the first to be held in its new location, the North Raleigh Hilton July 21 -23. We were also the proud hosts of Deep South Con 44. Guests of honor included David Drake, John Kessel, Patrick Meadows, Barry Malzberg, and David G. Hartwell.

Trinoc*coN 8 2007 was again held at the North Raleigh Hilton August 3-5, 2007 and included George R. R. Martin, Matthew McFarland and Thomas Fleming as guests of honor.
